With Perranporth beach on my doorstep, I spend quite a lot of time there with my family. If you know Perranporth beach, well, it is one of the best places in Cornwall to watch a sunset, so i wanted to capture this moment within my range of furniture and home accessories.
Introducing the Sunset Floating Shelf… a beautifully simple design inspired by the shapes found in sunsets over Perranporth beach. A clever floating shelf design with a contemporary feel, the central back panel attaches to the wall to become the sun, whilst the shelf nestles around creating the horizon. As the sun sets and reflects in the calm sea the intersection of the two shapes come to life.
The Sunset Floating Shelf is handmade using premium birch plywood and features a chamfered edge to give the shelf a lovely light look.
The floating shelf comes flat pack and is easy to assemble. The two parts of the floating shelf cleverly slot together to create a snug fit, with additional strength being added by the use of two hex bolts to make the shelf nice and secure. The back panel is fixed onto the wall using keyhole fixings which create a flush fit.
