I was approached by a customer to produce a bespoke birch plywood kitchen cabinet. It was my biggest custom build to date, and also my proudest build. I loved the attention to detail and precision in the design. Details, spec and pictures below…
The kitchen cabinet measures 180cm x 72cm x 30cm and is made from premium birch plywood. The bespoke plywood design features three hinged door cupboards with additional open storage underneath each section for plates / mugs / cookery books.
The customer wanted a clean, uncluttered aesthetic, so door pulls or handles were ruled out. Instead, i created a hidden mitred edge on the bottom of the doors which acts as the door pull. A lovely detail that i will definitely be using on future projects.
This stripped back Scandi design showcases the unique patterns of the plywood, with the continuous grain running across the front door panels.
