My latest bespoke project is this beautiful birch plywood tv unit made for a customer in Dorset. A classic modern, mid century cabinet design featuring four ‘push to open’ doors with adjustable shelves, wrapped in a warm ice cream coloured laminate.
The Birch Plywood TV unit measures a generous 240cm x 50cm x 50cm and is made from premium birch plywood. Push to open hardware was used for the doors to keep a clean, uncluttered aesthetic. The laminate, which features on the top, sides and doors is an ‘ice cream’ colour which compliments the birch plywood beautifully and gives the unit a lovely warm feel.
In order to keep everything behind the unit neat and tidy and wires at bay, little details such as a cable hole on the top of the unit were added to the design, as well as an extra deep recessed back to enable the unit to sit flush against the wall and leave space for the plugs. These little details are just some of the many benefits of having a piece of bespoke plywood furniture made for yourself, that you can customise it to your exact needs.
